An absolutely brutal first week of games produced no drama whatsoever. Only twice did the winner of a vote get less than 92% of the vote (TCU, Kansas), and only one other got less than 96% (A&M).
(Note: the margin is calculated by determining the winner, then looking at the MOV votes for only the team that ended up winning. And no, votes of "100" or "infinity" do not get counted.)
Week One Results:
- TCU (85%) > Baylor by 20
- Mizzou (98%) > Miami-OH by 26
- Texas Tech (99%) > Texas State by 29
- Iowa State (96%) > Northern Iowa by 12
- Kansas (84%) > McNeese State by 12
- Kansas State (100%) > Eastern Kentucky by 22
- Oklahoma State (100%) > Lafayette by 36
- Oklahoma (99%) > Tulsa by 30
- Texas (99%) > Rice by 21
- Texas A&M (92%) > SMU by 17

Week Two gets MUCH more interesting, even if only five conference teams are involved. Arizona visits Oklahoma State on Thursday night, Mizzou visits Arizona State on Friday night, Iowa heads to Iowa State to fight for this monstrosity, and two questionable (for different reasons) teams get their first tests: Kansas hosts a solid Northern Illinois squad, and a new Texas regime faces off with what should be an interesting BYU squad.
