RMN Community Roundtable, 8/31/11
Given that Bill blew off the roundtable today, we turn it over to you, loyal readers. Do your best with these four questions.
1) Which new player are you most excited to see this weekend and why?
2) Fill in the blanks: James Franklin will throw __ times for ___ yards, with __ touchdowns and __ interceptions, and he’ll rush __ times for ___ yards with __ touchdowns.
3) What’s the best realistic option for a program to replace A&M and get the Big XII to ten schools? What’s the best achievable option for getting to fourteen schools?
4) Taking inspiration from this video, say something nice.
We also have a special section where our Roundtabl'ers attempt to predict the height/weight/time of birth and name of the female Baby Bill C. Their responses after the jump, and feel free to add your guesses to the thread!

.
1 – Sheldon Richardson. Because I still don’t really believe he is real.
2. James Franklin will throw 22 times for 195 yds with 1 td and 1 int, and he’ll rush 12 times for 74 yards with 2 tds.
3. BYU seems to be the best option for 10. I think they would be a good fit, I’m just not sure we could get there. For 14 I would think BYU, TCU, Memphis and Colorado State. TCU would be the most difficult because of the whole Big East thing, and really I don’t think we would ever get to 14. Each school has its issues, but we are certainly the weakest conference (politically) right now. Every conference is growing, we are contracting.
4. wow, this is a lot harder than I thought. I’ve got something . . . let me think. um . . . Oh, got it! I think that this website has enhanced my “fanhood” more than any other media in the world, including ESPN – which for all its warts – still is largely responsible for making sports such an important part of our society.
.
1) James Franklin
2) James Franklin will throw 25 times for 270 yds with 2 td and 0 int, and he’ll rush 8 times for 50 yards with 0 tds.
3) Who cares at this point?
4) EcoKat is my hero
.
1) James Franklin
2) Is this for the first game? the season? his career? TOO VAGUE, CANNOT ANSWER
3) BYU to get to 10. There’s no good options to get to 14 that don’t involve lots of bribery. There’s a reason the left over schools aren’t in the big conferences yet. But just for fun… Louisville, Cincinatti, TCU, and Air Force? I don’t know, that’s depressing.
4) I can’t watch YouTube videos at work and it helps remind me I should spend less time on RockMNation unless theBeef, BillC, or someone else wants to start writing my paychecks.

3) To get to 10? BYU.
To get to 12? BYU, Houston(South), Memphis(North), bring back the title game and divisions.
To get to 14? BYU, Houston, Memphis, Louisville(North), SMU.
4) The Beef was the best Hall Coordinator I ever had.

FOOTBALL!!!
1. No question, Richardson. (Since Franklin has already played, I am not counting him.)
2. 30 attempts, 230 yards passing, 2 td, 12 rushes, 60 yards, 1td
3. BYU for sure to get to 10. 14 seems very unrealistic, but I would say BYU, TCU, SMU, and Arkansas
4. Early congrats to the Bill C’s!!!

Baby: 21 inches, 8 lbs. 11 oz. 4:12 pm CDT and Celebration (it's a cool name! Just don't tell her about the dog part...))
1) James Franklin.
2) James Franklin will throw 27 times for 220 yds with 2 TD and 0 INT, and he’ll rush 11 times for 65 yards with 0 TDs.
3) For 10? BYU For 14? BYU, SMU, Houston, and Arkansas. New SWC here we come!
4) Celebration (it’s a cool name!) will one day punk EkoKat.
Baby C = 20 in, 7 lbs. 9 oz and
1. Justin Britt
2. James Franklin will throw 21 times for 210 yards and 2 tds and run 12 times for 48 yards and 1 td.
3. Conventional wisdom says BYU for 10. I think we should call Vandy or Kentucky.
Two more for 12 = Air Force and either KY or Vandy.
Two more for 14 = Notre Dame and Cincy – If the Big 12 is going to 14, this represents conference armageddon and ND’s hand is forced. They join the conference with the ability to start their own network.
4. Missouri going to the SEC or Big 10 would leave KU on the island of misfit toys, which makes me smile. Apologies to KSU and ISU friends.
ku loves Missouri as every parasite has to have a host.
Quick trigger.
Baby C = 20 in, 7 lbs 9 oz and 1:42 CDT. Name is Candy Blaine Connelly.

Justin Britt woo!
I’m hometown biased, but I also think he could be a big factor, hopefully positively.

1) I guess he’s not new, but I really am anxious to see how marcus lucas looks out there.
2) Fill in the blanks: James Franklin will throw 18 times for 195 yards, with 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, and he’ll rush 6 times for 22 yards with 0 touchdowns.
3) A. BYU
B. BYU, Cincy, Marquette, ND & Louisville
4) Even though I sometimes curse your name and say that you should be fired, I do appreciate the job you have done and support you for the foreseeable future Mike Alden.

1. Sheldon Richardson
2. James Franklin will throw for 326 yards, with 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, and he’ll rush 8 times for 44 yards with 1 touchdown.
3. 10 = BYU 14 = BYU, Arkansas, TCU, Louisville, Memphis
4. Can’t see the video at work…
"It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man." ~ Jack Handey
Laura Grace Connelly, 20.5", 7 lbs 5 oz at 12:43 CDT
1. Sheldon, then Jimmie Hunt and/or Bud Sasser, since Marcus Lucas and James Franklin have already played.
2. Frankly will throw 25 times for 243 yards, with 1 TD and 0 INT. He’ll rush 10 times for 63 yards and 1 TD.
3. A. Anybody but BYU. I’m not interested in a team that refuses to play on Sunday (or Saturday or Friday or any other day of the week)
3. B. Memphis, Louisville, Cincinatti, TCU, Air Force
I'm guessing Erin Abigail Connelly will be born at 10:17 a.m.
Is that cheating? Just kidding, I want to again say congrats to the whole Connelly family!
1. Sheldon Richardson; Kony Ealy is he sees the field.
2. Franklin will throw 26 times for 265 yards and 2 TDs. He will throw 0 interceptions. He will rush the ball 9 times for 63 yards and 1 TD. Jimmy Costello will take some snaps late in the game.
3. I’m not as high on BYU as a potential member. I’d rather see if we can entice Louisville to join as the tenth team. Then I’d go after TCU, SMU, Cincinatti, and Air Force for 14.
4. Can’t watch youtube videos, but I will say RockM is running quite well today and all those that are responsible for that are doing a great job.
I think we'll reconcile it by winning!

A Roundtable BEFORE I go to work?????
Bully. (At least that’s what I think the RMN kids are saying these days.)
1. Sheldon.
2. 17, 203, 1, 0, 13, 99, 1.
3. BYU I guess would be the tenth. Meh.Assuming TCU isn’t jumping back out of the Least… BYU, Air Force, Colorado State, Wyoming, UTEP, SMU and Houston to bring it to 16. Four 4 team divisions:
Mountain: BYU, AF, CoSt, Wyom
Plains: MU, KU, KSt, IASt
Red River: OU, OSU, UTEP, SMU
Heart o’ Texas: Texas, TTU, Baylor, Houston
Play your 3 div, and a rotating cast of 2 per other divisions for a 9 team football slate.
4. Babies are great, wonderful, enlightened, amazing people and… HOORAY Bill C.!!!

3. a. San Diego St.
b. Colo St, Air Force, SanDiego St., Fresno St., Northern Iowa (they already beat the B12 in bball). Backups: Cinci, Louisville, Memphis, Boise
4. I like KSU and ISU fans. I hope to meet Miami, OH fans and greet them warmly on Saturday, and pledge to do so to all incoming fans.

First and foremost: huzzah and bully to Bill and Mrs. Bill!
1. Sheldon is the obvious answer.
2. Too much thought required
3. None of the options excite me terribly, but BYU, TCU, etc. all make sense. Just not Arkansas, please.
4. My land use controls professor is very well dressed.
We all understand what being a Mizzou fan is like. That’s no excuse for being a douche.
Game week........Woooooo!
1. K Lawrence if the line of scrimmage is our own 40. (I didn’t get to see the three 60yd runs in scrimmage)
2. Passing-25 att. 290 yds. 2 tds. 0 ints. Rushing 10 times 45 yds. 1 td. sits after 1st 3rd quarter series.
3. Notre Dame, Army, & Navy. (Yes I said that) Do not underestimate double D.
4. My CPA is a kU grad. and I think he is great.

A roundtable! Huzzah! Bully!
1. Do I have to answer just one? No? Okay: then Sheldon, James, and the O-line
2. 30 attempts, 220 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 7 rushes for 55 yards, 0 TD
3. TCU, SMU, Houston, move Oklahoma schools to the North/Non Texas division. Maybe having six texas schools would limit UT’s influence?
4. I love having this online community where I can interact with optimistic Mizzou fans! Way to go RMNers!
"I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order. Like they should be."
1. Hard to argue against Shel, given the hype. We’ve seen a bit of Franklin, but he’s obviously the biggest question mark.
2. 20/203/2/1, 10/70/1. This would be a monster game, obviously, so let’s hope I’m right.
3. BYU, I guess. I really don’t think there is a viable 14-team conference to be had. Maybe I’m being a fatalist.
4. This blog is so full of interesting, fun, reasonable discussion that it makes me wonder if it takes place in some Aaron Sorkin-penned “West Wing” version of the internet.

no, no, no
You engaged him when he confessed on the karma thread. You engaged him after the karma thread regarding said wife and the recs. I couldn’t just let you take all the jokes from wiferecgate.
He still has a chance. Of course, we could go all I Am Legend (the book, not the movie) drag everbody down to our level and then make the ones who resisted the freaks who must be exterminated.
Actually, that’s not a bad idea.
neither
I just take issue with the fact taht he says I drug you down, when clearly Spider_Monkey did the dragging. Now you’re here. Since you are here, welcome. We all hate threadkiller so go out of your way to be mean to him at all costs. I’m pretty sure he goes around and gives kids ice cream cones and then, right as they are about to take a lick, smashes them in their faces. It’s funny sure, but it’s really mean.

2. 18-25,160, 1 td, 1 int. 6 rushes, 30 yds, 0 td.

we both think the coaches will want to take some burden off franklin until they think he’s ready for it? that’s where i’m coming from. our line (such as it is) is better than theirs, no doubt, so let lawrence and co. carry the load.
