MIZZOUEXPANSIONAPALOOZA™ 2011

So the Rivals network -- both Chip Brown and the folks at Sooner Scoop -- thinks OU is as good as gone, but I'm retaining a healthy scoop of skepticism. As we've learned plenty of times, nobody's gone until they're gone. I was skeptical of A&M leaving, too, of course, but we'll see.

Meanwhile, the major rumor to pick up steam yesterday was the idea of Texas ending up in the ACC if the conference fell apart. Really, in terms of travel and culture, this makes some sense. A) The ACC does have a solid academic reputation, B) the thought of them being in the same conference as Boston College is no more far-fetched than Washington State and C) technically, if you count the Gulf of Mexico, Texas is much closer to the Atlantic coast than the Pacific. That would be a lovely move for the ACC (other than spelling their eventual doom, I guess).
