Well, 4 weeks are in the books; the season is 1/4 over. This Saturday was especially wild with some big games and high scores. Let's show the cream of each conference, using the quick and easy Napkin Rankings to find out what team is really good and what team is overrated by the traditional polling system.
ACC: Georgia Tech, 7 points.
Big 12: Oklahoma State, 7 points.
Big East: South Florida, 6 points.
Big Ten: Wisconsin, 5.5 points.
Conference USA: Houston, 6 points.
MAC: Temple, 5 points.
Mountain West: 3 teams tied with 4 points.
PAC 12: Stanford, 7 points.
SEC: LSU, 8.5 points.
Sun Belt: Louisiana-Lafayette, 5 points.
WAC: Hawaii, 3 points.
After the jump, we'll go over a top 10 list....
Here's our new top 10 teams in America... (although there are actually 12 teams due to ties)
1. LSU (8.5 points), which jumped up from #3 after their huge road win in Morgantown.
2. Florida (8 points), not rated last week.
t-3. Stanford (7 points)
t-3. South Carolina (7 points)
t-3. Alabama (7 points)
t-3. Georgia Tech (7 points)
t-3. Oklahoma State (7 points)
t-8. Clemson (6 points)
t-8. Virginia Tech (6 points)
t-8. USC (6 points)
t-8. South Florida (6 points)
t-8. Houston (6 points)
Our big mover of the week was Florida, which earned 4 points by stomping Kentucky on the road.
The worst team in America is not just one team. It's ANY of these teams, all at -3 points. I am tempted to single out Western Kentucky again for getting crushed by an FCS team at home, but there's also a case in there for Ole Miss.
The worst teams:
Western Kentucky, -3 points.
Mississippi, -3 points.
New Mexico, -3 points.
Memphis, -3 points.
