We begin not with Mizzou's 1-0 start in football, but with their unknown future conference.
MIZZOUEXPANSIONAPALOOZA™ 2011
I honestly don't know what to say at this point. I'm confident Mizzou lands in a good place, and I'm a bit surprised that OU has become the aggressor. I didn't see that coming.

The Trib (Dave Matter): Emptying the NotebookQuestion: Have Missouri fans been spoiled by the past two quarterbacks? Maybe so, especially Daniel, whose pinpoint accuracy will probably never be replicated on Faurot Field. But as I pointed out in Sunday's game story, Pinkel said Franklin's game reminded him a lot of former Washington pupil Mark Brunell's starting debut. Pinkel was spot on, at least by the numbers. In his first start, back in 1990 when Pinkel was calling plays for the Huskies, Brunell was horrid, completing 7 of 27 passes for 66 yards in a three-point win over San Jose State. Like Franklin, Brunell had the luxury of being on the same team as a very good defense. Led by Steve Emtman, the Huskies led the nation in rushing defense that year and won 10 games.
As for Franklin, teammates have his back. They were supportive of him after the game. They liked that he didn't get flustered during the game.
"He did a great job," tailback De'Vion Moore said. "He could have went in there and when adversity hit, it could have been way worse than what it was. He kept his poise and made plays coming down the stretch. That's what we ask of him."
