Cornerback Dayonne Nunley snatched the easy interception at MU’s 19-yard line, setting up a quick Miami touchdown drive.
On the play, Franklin appeared to throw recklessly into double coverage, but Moe said he caused the pass when he misread the defense and botched his pattern.
“I blew that,” Moe said. “I baited him into a stupid throw.”
Moe expected man coverage on the third-and-6 pass, and if his defender blitzed Franklin, Moe’s assignment was to cut off his pattern and occupy the space left by his man. Instead, the defender didn’t blitz and stayed in zone coverage, but Moe never adjusted. Franklin didn’t recognize the coverage either and threw to Moe, not thinking Nunley would be waiting to pounce. Interesting comment by Moe
a lot of casual football fans think football routes are run like video games. You call a 7 yard out, and that’s what is run regardless of the coverage. In reality, most routes are option routes, dependent on both the QB and the WR to read the defense.
The casual football fan blames the QB, but one never really knows (unless you are a football guru yourself, or a player like Moe comes out and states it) that a bad INT is the result of a WR running the wrong route against the coverage.
From our friends at C&C Machine, a funny opportunity.
Some interesting news coming out late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning surrounding A&M’s invitation to join the SEC. Chip Brown is reporting that the SEC presidents met Tuesday night and voted to admit A&M. Cue the celebratory parade down Aggie Main Street right? Well, maybe not quite yet because that invite comes with one potentially major stipulation. According to Brown, their admission is contingent on the other nine Big XII schools waiving their right to litigation against the SEC.
Now … SOURCES!!!, etc., but … WOW would it be funny if Baylor stood in the way of this by refusing to waive their right to sue.
I don't know about "funny"
It would definitely tick me off though. I’m ready for this lash-up to fall apart.
Yeah, it would be a similar situation
to a college basketball coach not releasing a player from scholarship. If he (the school) doesn’t want to be there, why keep them around?
"I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order. Like they should be."
because this may be baylors only opportunity to stay in a BCS conference
And they’ll do anything and everything to preserve that.

Agreed
aTm showed how little they care about the rest of the Big XII, I say make it as unpleasant as possible for them until this ends.
Oh, and F@#$ Texas!

Of course, the biggest problem with the Spelling Bee Championship (Nunes link)
is that Boise is angry that she didn’t win the 3rd grade Spelling Bee, but the kids from the South East Condos have been participating in the 5th grade Spelling Bee.
If you’re going to make a metaphor, make it accurate – the argument isn’t that SEC football is more tradition based, it’s that it’s more difficult.
Obviously, that doesn’t guarantee that Boise isn’t a better speller, but her dominance over her competition doesn’t mean she is the best speller in the school.

Olympic competitions have Degree of Difficulty worked in and no one gets all riled up
I realize there’s more money involved in Division 1 football than there is in an Olympic diving competition, but the point remains – degree of difficulty makes a difference.

I'm pretty sure they would happily accept a BCS conference bid...
…to upgrade their schedule. They take care of what they can take care of, and they do it repeatedly. That’s enough for me.
How many times does Boise have to walk into a BCS school's stadium and beat them before this argument dies?
I don’t care what Boise’s schedule looks like. When they play the top teams, they win.
I'm not trying to say they don't deserve a shot to win at the end

sorry, not used to typing on this mobile browser yet
I’m really just looking at the metaphor in the video. I believe that all Conf Champs should get a shot in a playoff regardless of ranking. However, I acknowledge that gives us a playoff champ and not the best team. But, WRT the video, to suggest the MWC champ is better than the SEC champ because they have less losses is not logically sound.

But to say definitively (as people do every year)
that the SEC champ is better than the MWC champ just because they play in a tougher conference is not logically sound either. I’m not accusing you of saying that, but this is a point that gets lost in the debate a lot.
but then the South East Condo kids
just lost to the 3rd grade speller. And just about lost to a preschooler in remedial school. Perhaps the South East Condo kids are only in the 5th grade becuase every year they have a genius level kid and everyone else gets to use his test scores to move up a grade.
This signature is not clever. It is not funny. Why are you still reading it? Seriously, it only goes down from here. It doesn't get better. You're the type of person who sits through the entire movie even though the movie is obviously horrible. And not in that "so bad it's good horrible" I'm talking Transformers 2 horrible. You liked that movie? Ugh.
Vanderbilt does it again.

I'm totally lost on where this metaphor went to
but yeah, Vandy. And sack lunches.

it bothers me that I couldn't pick up on something irrelevant and run with it
if I have any talent (and in no way am I implying that I do) it would certainly be taken irrelevant tangents to the most irrelevant tangental state.

Sure Vanderbilt's reputation is fine.
I was commenting on the fact that there was one genius level kid that alowed all the other South East Condo kids to score higher.
My bet was on Vanderbilt scoring high.
