Kansas names former NFL assistant Dave Campo as defensive coordinator
— I'll be honest, you guys: the past few weeks of my life haven't been grand. If you didn't read, I had a bit of an incident last week, and have spent about eight more hours in a dentist's chair than I'd prefer. And as a guy who really, really hates dentists, that's an eternity. And this is some pricey stuff; insurance is covering some of it, but it's still a hefty sum of money that's being injected directly into my mouth. And it's not like I'm swimming in money right now. Between paying for a honeymoon (expensive, yo), paying for plane tickets to go to other people's weddings (inviting me to their special day, the jerks), and feeding my ongoing addiction to Fabergé eggs, the ol' bank account is awfully low in funds, which has me -- pardon the pun -- down in the mouth.
So I would really like to take a moment to thank the Kansas football program for providing a consistent source of cheer and humor during these trying times for me. It's like they knew I needed to be cheered up, so they hired the funniest possible candidate for their defensive coordinator (and, for that matter, head coach) vacancies.
Thank you, Kansas football program. You are a beacon of hilarious light in an otherwise bleary landscape.
