Alabama / Mizzou Game
As an Alabama fan, I (along with several friends) am looking to come the the game on October 13th this year....Does anyone have any guidance as to a possible place to stay for the weekend? We are very open to renting a house for the weekend if we can find something that is available(most of the hotels are booked solid) Does anyone know of any houses to rent that are near campus / the stadium? I have rented a house in Oxford, MS in the past, and a lot of SEC schools are well known for having places available in this type of format......Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Rec'd. I know the founder of this company.
She has since retired, but she put it in the hands of good people.

Also look at RockMNation's guide to Columbia
just scroll down, its on the right side of the screen
That was largely food/beverage related.
Won’t be any help with temporary housing.

Would any of RockMNation's administrators
have the ability to obtain gameday guides to Knoxville, Gainesville, the other Columbia, etc. from sister SBNation blogs? Lot’s of great new SEC roadies awaiting, and I would think most Mizzou fans would appreciate any advice on how to maximize the game day experience at these destinations. Perhaps a great way to fill a week or two during the spring/summer lull between basketball and football season.
What are the best places to park/tailgate? When does the party start? What are the rules about open containers? Hotels, bars, restaurants? Local traditions? Things to avoid? “Must see’s” and “must do’s”? – You get the idea.
RockMNation’s guide to Columbia will be a great resource for our SEC mates, many of whom have no idea of how to maximize gameday at Mizzou. Another chunk of lull time could be filled by enhancing the Columbia guide to include specific gameday info, with suggestions, advice and helpful links that RockM readers could submit. Heck, we might even learn a thing or two about enhancing our own Mizzou gameday experience in the process.
I am kicking around the idea of tripping to Knoxville, which might be next season’s most popular roadie due to its proximity as compared to other options. Couldn’t find anything by searching around, so any good suggestions would of course be appreciated.
The content on this site is outstanding, by the way. I read every day, and usually come back multiple times during the day to see what’s new. If this suggestion makes good sense for the site, then great. If not, no big deal. But thanks to the administrators, contributors, and commenters for providing something I enjoy a great deal.

I think this is in the works
as well as maybe an updated Columbia guide?

If you don't mind the commute (and I'm assuming you won't)...
You can stay just about anywhere in the St. Louis area. There should be plenty of hotel space since it’s a major metro area, it’ll shorten your trip back to B’ham by 2 hours, and there’s plenty of other stuff to do as well.
You might be able to find a place in Jefferson City: it’s the state capitol, and only a 30ish minute drive from Columbia. I’ve been told that when Columbia hotels are full, Jeff City’s are not. Not as much to do (although you can go ice skating there; something you can’t do in Columbia unless that’s changed which is entirely possible).
Don't send them to St. Louis!
Send them to KC! We need to claim that city for the SEC.
