In all my years as a sportswriter, I can't remember interviewing an athlete as articulate and insightful as Missouri's Kim English. Check out the video interview I did with the Missouri star following the Tigers' victory over Baylor in Waco on Saturday.

He said articulate and insightful!

That was some of the worst stuff I have ever seen in my life. Please, do not follow in my path, do not Google that phrase!

Why do I feel like a future karma thread post could start out this way:
I followed in BST’s path….
I make bad decisions and people think my roller skating is hot.

...so this one day I thought, what would BST do?

They asked me what I wanted.
Death or freedom.
I chose the latter. They totally bought it.

You know, I just had a feeling this would be the first post.

The Bilas Toughness article

Sounds like these Tigers.
Set a good screen
Set up your cut
Talk on defense
Jump to the ball
Don’t get screened
Get your hands up
Play the ball, see your man
Get on the floor
Post your man, not a spot
Run the floor
Play so hard, your coach has to take you out
Get to your teammate first
Take responsibility for your teammates
Take a charge
Finish plays
Work on your pass
Throw yourself into your team’s defense
Take and give criticism the right way
Show strength in your body language
Catch and face (when pressed)
Don’t get split (when setting up a trap)
Be alert
Concentrate, and encourage your teammates to concentrate
It’s not your shot, it’s our shot
Box out and go to the glass every time
Take responsibility for your actions
Look your coaches and teammates in the eye
Move on to the next play
Be hard to play against, and easy to play with
Make every game important
Make getting better every day your goal
When I think back to my favorite Mizzou players, they embodied many, if not all, of these traits.

Anyone else seen this article?

I can’t say I necessarily agree…but I can’t lie and say the thought hasn’t crossed my mind. And I can’t decide if I’m in the “ZOMG think how good we could be with Bowers” camp or the “Would we have ever stumbled across the unique chemistry that comes with starting four guards…” camp.
Either way, thrilled to have him back next year.
I think were amazingly lucky at how well things have turned out this year and heres hoping that
Bowers comes back with a fire and healthy next year to lead the next group of tigers into the SEC.

I'm already smiling thinking of the flip-to-bowers domination
"I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are in alphabetical order. Like they should be."
Had anyone heard the Bowers concussion story before?
That one is news to me. And, um, yikes.

One positive to take from this article is that Jason King is a big KU guy
He used to work for the KC star and has written 2 free lance books about KU b-ball, so coming from him I take this statement as an even bigger compliment.

either that
or he hasn’t had a coherent thought in the last decade. seems like a 50/50 proposition to me.
