Subtle, understated, but with a strong font.
Well done.

Are we sure that isn't photoshopped?
The signs look suspiciously more crisp than the surrounding landscape…

I've driven that route enough to know that the picture WAS in fact photoshopped. Here's the original:

I have to think that he is coming to mizzou.
Or I’d like to think so. Why else would mizzou still be on the list.

He is coming to Mizzou
… this afternoon.
OK, sorry. On an unrelated note, I saw Pinkel at Booches today, having lunch. He was not drinking wine.

I see him on occasion at G&D at Crossroads
also ran into him at Shakespeare’s West once. He’s cool. Doesn’t really initiate conversation but he’s polite if you say hi. Mostly people leave him alone.

I saw him a few times at Lakota in the mornings
Probably the best place to be with the coffee shop hipsters whom I doubt watch sports too much.
Great coffee, but I feel it necessary to always be wearing sports attire when I go in there as an anti-anti-mainstream type thing, which I guess makes me a double hipster?

Drinking wine at Booches is grounds for deportation.

No, that would require a change in that sentence's structure.

I dunno
it’s idiomatic, but I can see how realizing that you’re drinking wine at Booches would qualify as putting you into a state of desperation. As in: "What wrong turn have I taken in my life that has led me to eating Hot Pockets?"

Nice
I think MU fans are showing we would give him a big warm welcome and be classy while he is here. Not over doing it but showing we want him to stay in good ole MO. Hope he chooses us.

Are we going to get a "Wisdom of the Crowds" type poll post on where we think he'll go
Just wondering if optism has overtaken the masses more than the more standard Mizzou skepticism.
I haven't done anything at work today between checking here and twitter for news on DGB.
I am way to into this. I need help or an app for recruiting. We need to get on that.

I think this has taken on much more than what one player could mean to a program
Bill C. alluded to this in his write-ups and perhaps some of his comments. There will be many Mizzou fans who would be more than disappointed if DGB elects to take his talents elsewhere. In fact, I think many casual Mizzou fans would see it as an unacceptable failure and lay blame on HCGP and his staff.
If he chooses Mizzou, then Mizzou pride will be over-flowing. Expectations for DGB and Mizzou in the next few years would rise above what should be reasonable for what one non-QB player can probably affect.
I guess what I’m stating is that many Mizzou fans are probably going to be disappointed over DGB either next week or sometime in the next couple of years. But it’s very likely that they will be disappointed either way.
The lack of credence given nationally to Mizzou’s chances in the DGB sweepstakes isn’t really that surprising. Mizzou has elevated its football program by leaps and bounds over the last decade or so. Let’s face it, though, the program is not to a level where national folks would expect highly rated recruits to give serious consideration to Mizzou over the traditional top programs. Now, I’m not sure I would put Arkansas above Mizzou in terms of national recognition, but they have been doing better than average in the SEC for a couple of years. If Mizzou lands him they’ll say DGB decided to stay home. If he goes elsewhere I don’t think the national perception of Mizzou will be changed at all. The only way to change national perception is to win the SEC a few times and win a national championship. And, we’ll have to win conference titles with some regularity and continue to occasionally be in the mix for a national championship for decades to really be considered an elite program. Would love to see it happen, of course. Would also be thrilled with gradual improvement for years to come. Really don’t want to slip back to a mess like we suffered through in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
I’m so intrigued by the indirect effects of DGB’s recruitment. I want it to continue forever.
uh
he’s coming to Mizzou and is going to break every wide receiving record every and lead us to 4 national championships, get 4 heismans and be the #1 overall draft pick for whatever team is still in Missouri, where he will break all of Jerry Rice’s records in route to an unprecedented 12 super bowl titles.
Basically, he’ll be a little better than Brian Coulter.
