The Missourian: Twitter wars precede Missouri's game at Kansas StateDixon went on to tweet seven numbers of Kansas State fans who had been pestering him. According to a phone directory on the Kansas State university website, two of those numbers appeared to belong to the recruiting chair and vice president of the Delta Upsilon fraternity at Kansas State.
After tweeting the first two numbers, Dixon tweeted the Antlers, an MU student fan group, telling them them to, "get it done."
The Antlers are known for badgering players and prank calling coaches of Missouri's opponents. Mason Bartlett, an MU sophomore and member of the Antlers, said the group's main goal is to create the greatest home court advantage by trying to distract players on the opposing team.
And when others try doing the same to Missouri players, the Antlers come to their defense.
"He (Dixon) knows he can come to us and say, 'This guy's an idiot. Take care of it,'" Bartlett said. "They were trying to distract him from his main goal, trying to get him off his game. We wanted to let him know we would do everything to make sure that didn't happen."

MUtigers.com: Alex Grinch Joins Football Coaching Staff
The Trib (Dave Matter): Pinkel officially names Grinch safeties coachGrinch, who was part of three national championship teams and who was a third-team All-America safety at Mount Union College in his playing days, has spent the last three seasons as secondary coach at Wyoming, where he helped guide the Cowboys to two bowl games in the last three seasons. He coached there on the staff of Dave Christensen, a former assistant under Pinkel at Mizzou.
Three of his players earned post-season honors in 2011, as the Cowboys concluded the 2011 regular season ranked No. 34 in the nation in pass defense, while they ranked No. 1 in the Mountain West Conference and tied for 5th in the NCAA in most turnovers gained (31). The Cowboys were among the most improved teams in the nation in 2011 as they claimed eight wins - up from three the year before, and the most at UW since 1996. At Wyoming, he helped develop free safety Chris Prosinski into an eventual 4th-round draft pick in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jacksonville.com: Shahid Khan now officially the owner of the JaguarsAlthough he said he wants to connect with the fans, he endorsed the two people in the organization who have been targets of the fans' criticism this season: quarterback Blaine Gabbert and general manager Gene Smith.
"I think he [Gabbert] is going to be a great quarterback. I think he is our franchise quarterback. I think he needs development. We want to develop him. We want to give him tools. A dedicated coach. And I think he's going to be great."
He also made it sound as if he's already interviewed several coaching candidates, and they all backed Gabbert.
"I think a key question you have to ask any potential coach, what are you going to do to develop him? How do you make him the best he can be? Really, I've been asking them point blank, 'Can you work with him?' And so far everybody says he's great," he said.

MU-KSU Series: Mizzou leads, 117-116
We need to win at least one to leave the conference with a winning record of KSU.
I know Coach Martin will light a fire under his team, but let’s make that win this Saturday.
You either die a Tiger, or you live long enough to see yourself become a Jayhawk.
What is the historical basis (if there is one) for our extremely close relationship with Wyoming?
I just feel we have a lot of interchange and connection with them.

Mostly off topic...
Is there a way to limit the android SBN app feed to just Rock M? I’m only subscribed to RMN, but I have to sort through every word scribbled for the mothership. No offense, I’m sure they’re great writers (keep up the Self Shares!) , but I just don’t care about the Denver Nuggets. Or hockey. Or cricket. Or Dewayne Wade.

If you're just scrolling through the News Feed, you will get all stories.
Click on Lineup at the top next to News Feed, then hit the plus sign in the top right. You can select Missouri Tigers & RMN specifically in there to follow them. Then when you go back to the app, just click on lineup to get to RMN without going through all the other stories.

I have some real problems with it on iOS
Terrible performance, no caching when it should, caching comments when I know there’s more… Hard to view just the SBN sites I want.

Sweet, Thanks.
I had Mizzou and RMN in the lineup, but I didn’t realize those were links too. I thought that was supposed to be customizing my news feed.

There's a tab called Lineup.
You can just put RMN there. Opens right up to the blog. Really works great.
More out of curiosity than anything....
because by no means am I setting out to be “that guy” by pointing this out, but curious as to how all the little links within the posts are entered. Is it an automatic thing? The “Cardinals Caravan to hit next home game” has a link to the Arizona Cardinals. Not that anyone here is incapable of finding their own way to a Cards baseball website if they needed to. Just thought it might be a function of SBNation to have autolinks when certain words are typed.
@armyofmike
Maybe you clicked on the "Cardinals" part of the link.
Click on MuTigers portion. Actually two separate links.
Ha sorry, that came out snarkier than I intended it.
I’m trying to help a client who has never used a computer before, so the tone of voice I’m using seems to have carried over to my typing. Sorry bout that!
Tone is difficult to determine in print.
I will readjust my reaction accordingly :) And good luck with that client.
I read that in the voice of Nick the Computer Guy.

Yeah, I didn't think I explained myself very well...
…. and was referring to the Cardinals link only. But I can’t tell you how right you are with being the “computer guy” around the office. I can give my department the same education every week for 6 months and the following week, they’ll be the one who has never used a computer before. Frustrating. Who’s ready for a brewski?
@armyofmike
Whoops, yeah.
There are all sorts of fun little “Auto-Tagger” tools at our disposal, and apparently when I went to auto-tag Gabbert, it also snagged “Cardinals.”

Craig James
An Ohio State blogger (A THE Ohio State blogger?) donated $5 dollars to Craig James (no indication if it was for a foot long at this time). In exchange he got to post a message on Craig Jame’s website. See if you can spot the hidden message:
However virtuous the intentions
Or noble the cause
Out of Texas rises a Phoenix
Keeping America prosperous
Even in times of strife
Remembering what made us great
Keeping a promise for our children
Instead of taking their future away
Liberals need a challenger
Living for today and fighting for us
