I do think they're the last trap game on our schedule.
oSu had a magically night against us but I don’t see them repeating that. KSU was the right matchup at the right time back when they still felt they could contend for the title, but they seem completely demoralized now and Mizzou has some experience matching up with those types of teams now. At A&M though, who knows?

I have a busy Single's Awareness Evening.
Dinner of pork loin with a side salad, then league night bowling and finally a trip to the local bars. Oh wait…that’s pretty much every Tuesday night.

In case you haven't seen it yet:
Kindergarten kid (whose family is K-State fans) refused to color a Jayhawk in class. Mom blogged about it and it blew up. Lost Lettermen even reports that her Powercat drawing was displayed on the video board at last night’s game and the K-State president wrote her a letter offering her a scholarship in the class of 2025.
I think this kid makes up for K-State not getting it done last night. I declare the Unholy Alliance restored.
I'm the Kansas Football of romantics.
Have some success every once in a while, spend the vast majority of the time being an embarrassment.

A little story and a few questions
Met a jayhawk fan here in California last weekend. He never went to the university, but started following ku in the 90s. He said something about following Marcus Allen when he was traded to the Chiefs and watched March Madness that year. I guess kansas did alright and he has been a fan ever since. During our conversation, there was no spite or real angst, just the usual professional-sports banter. (I was still wearing all my Mizzou gear from the Baylor victory) So here is the question…what do I make of this beaker fan? Is he a decent sports fan that happens to root for ku? Another question is I am pondering being at the same pub as him for the showdown in lawrence. Should I go there or watch the game at my usual place?
I'm a nomad that cheers on MIZZOU from all around the world.
He is a standard beaker fan.
Has no relationship to the school, doesn’t care about anything else, and is clearly a d bag. I say you go to the bar with him, but knock him out with a beer bottle, shave off his skin, and throw him in a dumpster full of salt.

I am feeling very pessimistic about the Beaker game, so I would not be within 10 miles of a Turd Bird. But seeing that he is not in KANSAS City, he is probably not as smug as the beaks are around here. If that game is for all the marbles, I doubt I will be able to even look at any KS fan in the eye for the days prior.
Follow your instincts I’d say.

If it’s Oklahoma, Alabama, Notre Dame, Texas or USC, he is a died in the wool, no ch!t beaker of the highest magnitude.

Stuck in Odessa, Texas on Valentines day, 800 miles from the GF.
Tried to go for a run and my calf gave out two blocks in.

but can someone tell me how bill self is still in the running for COTY? I mean when you consistently recruit top ranked players and you still have trouble getting it done, how is that COTY worthy? Also, kansas fans saying this is a down year is total bull crap, they were ranked in the top 15 to start the year. Man, do I hate beakers!

They only have one returning starter, 3 of their 4 freshmen were declared eligible, and I believe 2 of the 8 guys in their rotation were originally walk ons.

But Robinson showed flashes of being a monster last year coming off the bench. And they were ranked that high the same reason Texas is always ranked high in football. It’s the name.

And Michigan State fans really dislike MU. According to them they would throttle our four guard lineup. Just thought i share.

1) Jeremy Lin. Jeremy Lin. JEREMY LIN! I love this story so dang much because it just gets better every day.
2) I spent part of my Valentine’s Day re-reading the RMN threads from the day Mike Anderson quit while listening to the press conference with Laurence, Marcus, and Kimmie. If they can make an entertaining movie out of Moneyball (I LOVE the book, and I really liked the movie, but the filler portion of the movie required a lot of creative writing), there MUST be a movie about the last 12 months of Tiger basketball. It would win Oscars, and the story has been (and is being) written right before our eyes. Let’s go…
Fallen hero darts town, leaving crestfallen followers feeling like jilted lovers; new protagonist who receives an incredibly cold reception from the community but slowly earns their trust by doing and saying all of the right things; the trust of the public fades away again based on BS accusations by a vengeful criminal, but the new protagonist continues to convert his crestfallen team into believers; montage of practice, making sure to focus on the new way of operating as a team with structure; side story of Marcus and Kimmie trying out/playing for USA basketball, focusing on Kimmie’s personal struggles; CBE Classic in KC as the first cathartic moments, giving the team (and the public) renewed vigor; montage of non-con games, fade to KSU game in Manhattan, learning lessons; montage; Baylor road game; montage; ku game, Baylor game.
Let’s hope for the storybook ending for how the rest of this feature film plays out.
