Getting Lucky
So I've been wondering what people think about lucky items, be it clothing, chairs, or rabbit feet. As far as Mizzou goes I have my lucky basketball jersey which I bust out only for very special occasions since the Big 12 Championship Game in 2009. I've worn it for that game, the Memphis Sweet 16 Game, then it took a two-year hiatus after we lost to Richmond before busting it out for the Illinois game this year, since then I've worn it for the games @Baylor, @ISU and @Texas, plus the kU and Texas games at home.
My personal belief is that you cannot utilize your lucky items for every game or the luck will wear off. Also, once the lucky item experiences failure it must take a hiatus for a while or for good. Luck can only carry someone so far therefore utilizing your items for games that are hopeless OR high risk but not world ending is foolish. For this reason I will not utilize the jersey for the game at kansas because the NCAA tournament is much more important.
What are your lucky items, and what rules do you have for them?

mostly I try to utilize hard work and determination rather than relying on luck...

I usually go more of a karma route and try to behave before and during mizzou games.

its the hey Oklahoma shirt with Truman flipping em the bird. It’s in my sports shrine, I intend for it’s good luck to last as long as I do.

I try to have Mizzou stuff on all of my family all day the day of a game
if the game is going poorly, I’ll usually add a hat. (or take it off)
If I don’t get to start the game on-time, and I get spoiled to the score, I’ll sometimes decide to not watch, depending on how the game is going.
