To this point, we have looked at some very strong programs (Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Arkansas). Each of these have been top-25 caliber departments as it pertains to the Learfield Cup standings. Well, get ready to meet our new Learfield overlords ... the Florida Gators.

As always, we will review the last three years of records for each of the sports which Mizzou will be bringing to the SEC starting in July, along with the Mizzou results over the same time span (in bold and italics). Let's get to it, starting with the fall sports (season listed is year in which the sport completed so fall sports will be a calendar year behind):

Summary:

Seriously...each time I moved to another sport, I thought there was no way Florida could be as good as they were in the sport I had just looked up. And in most cases, they were. This is our new Texas, but they are better. If there is anything I can say negatively, it is that they seem to have a mental block on the NCAA's for soccer and volleyball, as they appear to have underperformed based on their regular seasons in a number of years. But beyond that, they are the measuring stick, plain and simple.
