Mizzou fans I come in peace... The time is almost upon us when Saturday's become football's holy day. I'm interested to see how Rock M Nation views the match up of Georgia's defense vs Mizzou's offense and Georgia's offense vs Mizzou's defense. Georgia boy's thoughts... Georgia's defense runs the 3-4 but against a spread passing attack we normally go to the nickel or even a 4-2-5. We haven't faired well against this type of attack with Boise St dinking and dunking us down the field. Also a qb that can scramble and get a timely 3rd down conversion has given us fits over the years. I believe we try to take away the big pass by having two safties back and bring pressure from out linebacker and nickel corner position. We want to hit the qb to make it difficult for the deep pass. On offense we line up in I formation and shotgun about 50/50. We're best when we can run the ball and play action off of this. However, we tend get pass happy and will go for the 1st and bomb all too often. Truth be told I don't know much about the Mizzou defense so I'll be interested to see what you have to say.
