In the spring and summer of 2008, I began posting some of my stat-heady bits over at Matt Hinton's wonderfully popular SMQB blog, just to see if anybody would read it or find it interesting. Matt discussed it in posts of his own a couple of times, and I don't entirely find it a coincidence that Aaron from Football Outsiders e-mailed me about contributing at FO a short time later. Without FO, I can't imagine I come across a full-time gig at SBN. I owe Matt quite a bit, then, at least somewhat indirectly. It made me incredibly happy for him to join the FO team this fall, and it makes me doubly happy to announce that SMQB has returned.
