- WR Coach
The Trib (Dave Matter): Two names emerge for Missouri vacancyTwo names have surfaced as candidates, according to sources with knowledge of the situation: Pat Washington, who coached wideouts at Kentucky last season, and Erik Campbell, who spent the last five years coaching the position at Iowa. It's unclear how far along conversations have gone, but I'm told both have interviewed for the position, along with at least one other candidate.
Washington also served as Kentucky's passing game coordinator in 2012. He played quarterback at Auburn from 1982-85 and has since coached on four different SEC staffs at Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State and Kentucky. Most notably, he was Tennessee's receivers coach from 1995-2005, during both the Peyton Manning years and UT's 1998 BCS championship season. He's also coached at Louisiana-Lafayette, Baylor, TCU, Kansas State and Southern Miss.
Campbell has spent the last five seasons coaching Iowa's receivers and also coached the position at Michigan, his alma mater, for 13 seasons. Among the wideouts he coached in Ann Arbor from 1995-2007 were Amani Toomer, David Terrell, Braylon Edwards, Jason Avant, Steve Breaston and Mario Manningham. Before returning to Michigan, Campbell coached running backs at Syracuse, Ball State and Navy. Campbell left the Iowa coaching staff after the season.
- 2013 Recruiting (a.k.a. Bad Season Checklist)
PowerMizzou: What's next at DT?While nothing is known for certain, it appears that Missouri is attempting to add at least two more defensive tackles to its 2013 class, joining already-committed A.J. Logan and Antar Thompson. The three most likely prospects to fill those two spots were Kansas City (MO) Center defensive tackle Maliek Collins, Hutchinson (KS) C.C. defensive tackle Ben Bradley and Peoria (IL) defensive tackle Josh Augusta. On Sunday, however, two of those names [Collins and Bradley] went off the board. […]
On the high school front, Missouri has offers out to nine uncommitted defensive tackle prospects, but only three of them (besides Augusta) are realistic options. Missouri has long been in the running for Lake Wales (FL) DT Bobby Leath and Plantation (FL) DT Monty Nelson, and recently offered Port Arthur (TX) DT Matthew Romar. Nelson has set two official visits this month, but has not scheduled one to Missouri. Leath, meanwhile, has been nearly silent on his recruitment since June. Romar has mentioned Missouri getting in the picture, but this late in the process, the Tigers have plenty of ground to make up.

I'm biased, obviously, but I just couldn't have been happier with SBN's pregame coverage of last night's national title game. So much great stuff. We had fun during the game, too, for that matter. Hope you enjoyed it.
