Greetings Y'aaaaaaall, and Welcome to the Club!! (A message fom an Auburn fan)

Way to go, Mizzou! And greetings from the great state of Alabama!

I know that sometime during the week, you'll probably do a Q&A with College & Magnolia, but I just wanted to take the time to congratulate you personally and tell you how nice it was going to be to face you guys in the Dome. The last time I was able to go to the SEC Championship, I was among the mongrels of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and they made the experience far less than pleasurable. I'm not that acquainted with your fan base yet, but from reading your posts on here, y'all seem like good people.

I've been through Columbia a few times. My wife and I enjoy traveling out west, and we inevitably find ourselves crawling along I-70 through your beautiful state whenever we go west of the Mississippi. We've seen all the touristy stuff along there in St. Lois and K.C., and stayed the night at Finger Lakes State Park in 2008. When we got gas the next morning, I was pleasantly surprised at all the Missouri Tigers football paraphernalia I saw in the area, ignorantly believing that y'all were mostly a basketball school.

I admit, I was surprised at your inclusion into the SEC, and after last season (a very tough one for us, too), I was less than optimistic of your team's ability to hang with the "big boys." I obviously wasn't the only one. I don't know how popular the Lindy's SEC Football Annual is up there, but down here it's kind of the pre-season SEC football bible. Auburn was projected last in the West, and you guys were next to last in the East. Who knew?!?

From what I've been able to see of your team this year (which wasn't much, as I work with the mentally handicapped for 30 hours on the weekends, no espn channels), It's going to be one hell of a game. Your team is tough in all aspects of the game, and I really have no idea what the outcome will be. This is one hell of an accomplishment, guys. Since we started doing this in 1992, there are 5 teams that have never made it into this game, and y'all did it in year two!

I grew up in Georgia, so if there are any questions you guys have about Atlanta, I'll do my best to answer them. I'm planning on parking on the perimeter and taking MARTA to the dome. Traffic is damn confusing for people who go there regularly (lots of one ways, traffic diversions on game days, half the streets are named "Peachtree"), much less to out of state visitors. The Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Station drops you off right there. There is a MARTA app for iphone and droid that will show you maps and arrival/departure times.

Hope to see you there. I'll be dressed like in my profile pic, so look for the fat man in a Bo Jackson jersey and the Auburn Army Helmet

Good luck, War Eagle, and may the best team win!
