|2013 Depth Chart||Missouri is reasonably well-stocked with experience at defensive end, but Mizzou's pass rush was far from elite in 2012. Loud does not come in with the reputation as a speed rusher, but there is at least a little bit of opportunity here.|
|2014 Depth Chart||Michael Sam is the only defensive end departing after 2013, but Loud could be a feature on the two-deep if he lives up to a decent rating.|
"I really like their academic standards," Loud said. "They want you to fit their ideal of a student, and I liked that."
Education is important to Loud. He sets lofty goals on the field, and off the field they're even loftier. He said he plans to major in early education and kinesiology at Mizzou.
On the field, Loud said it's more than his size and speed that helps him succeed.
"My heart and dedication," Loud said. "I have a good motor and a will to survive, to outlast the opponent."
He demonstrates the ability to be stout when taking on blockers as he can bend and play in a solid 'football position' and flashes the ability to bring his hands and use his reach to create some separation. He can be tough at the point of attack, but at times can seem and almost catch blockers and when he does he can give ground. Looks to need to build speed some but has solid range. Has some pass rushing upside, but needs to keep developing.
