This is a great time of year with football already begun and the first game rapidly approaching! Last year I wrote a piece about my expectations for the 2012 season with high hopes and predicting great outcomes IF we did not suffer catastrophic injuries...well, we know how that turned out, eh? I feel like I, alone, am the one responsible for our dreadful luck in the injury department so I, alone, cost us a bowl game last year. Blame me, I can take it.
So this year I am foregoing my (yet again) optimistic expectations and instead, am telling you about a project I am helping organize in the land of the red. On August 17, 2013 (Saturday), the city of Plattsmouth, Nebraska is hosting a fund raiser for the Wounded Warrior Project. We will have bands, food, beverages, parachuters, and much much more. If anyone from RMN lives within a 3 hour drive or so, it would be great to have you attend. I hope to raise vast amounts of money for our brave men and women who have served our country and suffered severe injury. One hundred percent of our profits will go the Wounded Warriors!
I won't go beyond this for now to not bore the average reader. If you would like to know more, I'll respond to any comments. Until then, go to our Facebook link and check it out! www.facebook.com/Plattestock

Now, if I could only figure out how to add our poster to this...help, youngin's, help.
