Mizzou accepts a bid to play Davidson in the NIT, and both the Softball and Baseball teams follow a familiar path: win with the ace on Friday, then drop the two remaining series games in frustrating fashion.

Day 2 of spring practice in the books

Yesterday's Missouri football practice reports focused basically on quarterbacks, newbies (defensive ends, cornerbacks), and Connor McGovern.

Missouri tops Texas A&M and gets an SEC Tourney shot at Florida. Plus: John Brown's an SEC legend, it's a pretty big weekend for almost every winter and spring Missouri sport, and the numbers pretty much hate Michael Sam.

Jabari Brown's in a shooting slump, Keanau Post will probably play more minutes today (for better or worse), and Mizzou Wrestling will take eight grapplers to the NCAA Championships in Oklahoma City.

Spring Practice reports, Day 1

The Missouri offensive line is fluid, Markus Golden and Shane Ray are fast, and Max Copeland was loud.

Jabari Brown was named first-team All-SEC on Tuesday, while Jordan Clarkson made the second team. Meanwhile, Mizzou Softball swept Evansville, and Mizzou Baseball swept Alcorn State between raindrops.

Tony Criswell is out for the SEC Tournament because of eviction (!), and the Jordan Clarkson/Jabari Brown duo will likely stay at Mizzou or go pro together.

Mizzou Wrestling wins its third straight MAC championship, Mizzou Softball almost squeezes out a series win in College Station, Mizzou Baseball almost squeezes out a sweep of Southern Miss, and Michael Sam gets the SB Nation scouting treatment.

Links: big weekend ahead

Mizzou basketball, softball, and wrestling all face big weekend, all away from home. Plus: Pinkel's new contract is finalized, and spring football starts next week.
