Absorb it

Sun Nov 25, 2007 at 08:28:32 AM EDT

There will be no Good, Bad, and Indifferent. There will be no major postgame analysis from me for at least another few days. Take a step back and absorb all this win has to offer.

Folks, your Missouri Tigers are 11-1, champions of the Big 12 North, and controllers of their own destiny in the national championship hunt.

I will be traveling back to Columbia today and therefore unable to conduct the Sunday Poll Watch, but I open up this thread to RMN for analysis and reaction as polls are released.

Pleased to see the 2:1 ratio on 1st place votes at the top.  Will be interesting to see what happens to UGA since they dont play again next week, and what moves LSU/USC/Va Tech make in the poll next week following their respective games.  Also interesting to keep an eye on Illinois, who I guess need to be rooting for BC and Tenn to lose to continue their possible move into a BCS game (I suppose only if OSU is in the Champ game though)

    Some thoughts:
#1 - Absolute bull crap.  Ohio State goes from not HAVING first place votes last week to SIX of them this week...and DID NOT PLAY.  All that says to me is that the "coaches" are not willing to allow another person towards the top.

#2 - On the same kick...Ohio State's best win is over #16 Wisconsin.  Their next best win is over Penn State, who is #30 and Michigan who is #32.  We have wins over #5 Kansas, #14 Illinois and #26 Texas Tech.  Their OOC was just about as laughable as Kansas's, and yet there they sit.

#3 - We made up less ground on WVU this week than we did last week.  That is strange to me because their win last week at a ranked team was better than our win over k-state, which propelled them ahead of us in the BCS.  We made up more ground on them then than we did with a neutral win over #2 Kansas.  AND...Kansas did not drop like a rock, only down to #5.  UCONN however fell down to #28 from #20.
