White boasted offers from Arizona State, Oklahoma State, and UCLA, among others. As proof of how fickle the recruiting process can be, he mentioned less than a week ago that the OSU offer was standing out a bit, and that he hoped to receive an Alabama offer down the line.
From that same Scout article:
DeSoto high school has a loaded recruiting class this year once again and no one passed the walk-up test at registration like White. You could see right away why the colleges are interested in him. He has the exact type of frame that you look for in an offensive tackle prospect. He has good size already, but looks a bit slender and will have no problem adding weight once he lands at the college of his choosing. He still needs to add soe strength in the weight room, but has many of the skills you look for when wanting to build up an OT in a top-billed college program.
Hyrin White at Nike's The Opening Regional:
White was on an unofficial visit to Missouri's campus along with DeSoto team mates Xavier Newman and Kemonte Yow. Newman, a 6'4, 285 lb guard also has an offer from Mizzou along with another DeSoto lineman, 6'4 325 lb guard Edward Ingram. K.D. Nixon, a 4* receiver from DeSoto, also holds a Mizzou offer so hopefully White can work on recruiting a few of his teammates.
Missouri is heavily pursuing offensive line targets this recruiting cycle, they could take as many as six or seven despite only having one senior this year.
White is indeed Missouri's second 2017 commitment, joining high-three-star Kansas City athlete DaRon Davis.Missouri is expected to attempt to load up on linemen in this class, and White is officially Lineman No. 1.
WELCOME, HYRIN!
