Whoa, hold up...
J-Mac isn't your offensive newcomer of the year? Crabtree is good, but J-Mac really separated himself with the all-purpose yardage. Crabtree really disappeared towards the end of the season.
Okam is a BEAST!
I'd put Sean Weatherspoon in at LB over Pawalek. Wheatly is a good pick, because according to Eric Cartman "He has more picks than Boulder does hippies".
Could throw in the Biggest disappointment (my pick: Adarius Bowman).
I'll agree with all of your other picks. I don't like all the OU on there, only because we have them on Saturday!

All valid...
Had I known I could split the award (like the Big 12 did), Crabtree and Maclin would have split it. It's hard for me not to give the award flat out to Maclin, especially for what he does on special teams, but I also can't ignore the numbers Crabtree put up, even if it's in the Tech offense. He's one of the first offensive "stars" to go through Tech that I feel could put up huge numbers anywhere, rather than just in Leach's stat-inflating Pirate scheme...
Spoon vs. Palawek was one of my toughest choices. Spoon certainly deserves a nod, but having seen Palawek in person this year, he's extremely underrated simply because A) no one has seen him, B) there's no one around to help him make plays, and C) good God, Baylor is terrible. I really wanted to cram Spoon in there, but he was easier to sacrifice than Lofton or Dizon. Palawek over Spoon is a tough call. Either of them over Lofton or Dizon is blasphemy.
Biggest disappointment Top 3:
- Adarius Bowman
- Maurice Purify (Thank you Sam Keller)
- Jorvorskie Lane (Thank you Coach Fran)
And, as a side note, I'm SO glad English won't play Saturday

I haven't run numbers yet...
...but I do figure Pawelek qualifies mostly as a "got a lot of tackles because, well, somebody had to make the tackles" type of linebacker, in the Alvin Bowen mold. Lofton and Dizon are no-brainers, but then you've got Weatherspoon, Joe Mortensen and James Holt (BTBS all-star!), and maybe a Scott Derry (UT) or Paul/Marlon Williams (Tech) to go with Pawelek and Bowen...
