SB Nation's Virginia site, Streaking the Lawn, analyzed this season's Directors' Cup race, in which Ohio State finished second, against the amount of money spent at each athletic program. Surprisingly, at least to me, Stanford not only wins every year, but they are also more efficient than most schools in doing so. They spend less and win more. Ohio State was one of only two programs in the top ten to score more points in the Winter sports quarter than in the Spring. That's a testament to Ohio State's excellent men's basketball, women's basketball, wrestling, and volleyball programs.
