A poster on Tigerboard has taken pictures of gold #10 jerseys hanging in a store in Harrisonville, MO, giving more legs than ever before to the theory that we're coming out in either all gold on Saturday, or at least Gold shirts and Black pants.

I truthfully don't care, but what I don't want is for this to be an issue at all.  Daniel had his worst game of the year while wearing #25, so that became an excuse.  If we for any reason struggle against kansas on Saturday, you won't be able to keep track of all the people who will say it's because we were wearing gold jerseys.

I'm not sure a gold and gold look is what we should be going for, honestly, but gold jerseys and black pants might look pretty cool.  And at least with gold jerseys for sale, this will help with our "all gold" look for the fans.  As one who is quite comfortable wearing a jersey to a sporting event, this might be an answer to a question for me.

The Missouri Tigers clinch the Big XII North for the 2nd straight year after defeating Iowa State 52-20 up in Ames. Jeremy Maclin, Derrick Washington and Chase Daniel all had very strong games, and William Moore added his first INT of the season and returned it for a TD. Moore is the first player in Mizzou history to return 4 interceptions for TDs and is also the first in Mizzou history to score defensive TDs in 4 straight seasons.

Mizzou sends off its most successful senior class in history with a win over KSU, 41-24, improving to 8-2 on the season.  Superstar sophomore Jeremy Maclin, in his likely final game at Faurot Field, was simply magnificent with 2 TDs receiving and 1 rushing.  Chase Patton added his first career passing TD as well.

Sorry this one is so late, but the Mizzou Football Replay Show didn't air until 1:00pm today in KC.

Missouri survives a scare from Baylor, escaping with a 31-28 victory and improving to 7-2 on the season. The Big XII North leaders still control their own destiny for a return trip to the Conference Championship Game, so survive and advance is all that is necessary.

And of course you know, if you're not watching it in high def then you suck at internet.

The Tigers get some of their swagger back after a tough previous 2 weeks, shutting out the Colorado Buffaloes on Homecoming, 58-0. This is the first shutout for Mizzou since 2004 when they shutout Ball State 48-0, and the first time Colorado has been shutout since 1988.

And please, for the love of God, watch it in high def!  Everything is better when it's in a higher resolution, but you already knew that.

Fun facts from the Weekly Release on the Mizzou vs Texas game.

• Mizzou has not won in Austin, TX, since 1896, however we've only lost at Austin 7 times in history.  If you only present one side of the facts, it sounds fairly impressive.
  
• Mizzou is 7-0 under Gary Pinkel in games following the first loss of the year.  I have to be honest, this fact surprises me about as much as anything I've ever read.  When you consider we've had some losing streaks under Pinkel, you just would have assumed this wouldn't be true.  2 of those 7 wins have been against ranked teams (#10 Nebraska in 2003, #22 Texas Tech in 2007).  However, not one of them was on the road.
• 28 Texas Tigers make return trip home.  Honestly, I thought we'd have more than that.  And I have to wonder...do they write this same article when we play A&M, Tech or Baylor?
• This is the 11th time in history Mizzou has faced the #1 team.  We are currently 0-10 against #1 teams.  4 of the 10 times were against Nebraska, 3 were against Oklahoma.  Ohio State, Miami and Alabama are the others.  4 of the 10 times we have also been ranked, and in fact we have been ranked #11 when facing a #1 (Alabama, 1978).  Missouri lost that day in Columbia 38-20.
• Chase Coffman needs 3 catches to break MU's Receptions Record.  Honestly, it could happen on the opening drive.  However, Chase is still almost 500 yards behind Justin Gage for the lead in receiving yardage.  That will likely not happen on the opening drive.
  
• Coffman is the NCAA active career leader for receptions and yards for tight ends.  He is #5 among all players, 50 receptions behind Rice's Jarrett Dillard for the lead.
• 4 of our 6 longest plays of the year so far came against Nevada (80-yard TD to Maclin, 59-yard TD by Washington, 49-yard TD to Maclin, 48-yard pass to Coffman).
• Derrick Washington still maintains the NCAA scoring lead at 13 ppg.  2 TDs and one PAT per game.  Not bad, DWash.
• Finally, if Coach Pinkel can win his next 27 games in a row, he will hold the highest winning percentage of any coach in Mizzou history passing Dan Devine's .704 mark.  Almost there, Coach!

OSU Highlights

Oh that's right, I have to have 75 words.  Well, for crying out loud, I don't want to come up with anything else witty to write here.  How's that?  41 short.  You can totally stop reading this now, because there's nothing of substance here.  I'm watching American Dad right now.  Decent show, but basically it only exists because networks are still apologizing to Seth MacFarlane for not giving Family Guy a fair shake on its first try.  That show was and is brilliant.

Mizzou Game Notes

• Next to Probable Offensive Starters, it says NOTE - No wagering, please - we're just guessing here.  That's hilarious and I don't even know why.
• Mizzou holds the all-time series lead on the rest of our opponents this year except for Texas, who holds a 15-5 lead on us.
• Our only loss to OSU in Big XII play came in 2004, and I think we all remember what a glorious game that was.
• The only game against OSU in Big XII play that was decided by more than 7 points was our win in Columbia in 2000, 24-10.  In our last 7 meetings (all Big XII games) there have been 6 OT periods.
• This game features the top 2 scorers in the nation:  #1 Derrick Washington at 14.4ppg, #2 Dez Bryant at 13.2ppg.  Those numbers would be pretty good in basketball...in football they're just unreal.
• We are the least penalized team in the country at just 3 per game.
• We rank 6th in fewest turnovers with 5, 3 of which of course game in a single game while 2 came in the other.  Quick math tells me we've played 3 games so far this year turnover free.  See how I did that?
• Missouri is still just 1 2-minute drive behind Tulsa for the lead in that category.  The Tigers have 17 drives of 2 minutes or less for TDs this year.  More than 3 per game.
• A win over OSU will give Missouri just its 5th 6-0 start in school history, the last coming in 2006 when we started out 6-0 and finished 8-5.  Man that team feels like a distant memory.
• Finally, Chase Daniel still has led the first team offense to exactly 0 3-and-outs so far this season.

Mizzou improves to 5-0 for the 3rd straight season, and in the process ends a 15-game losing streak in Lincoln to the Cornhuskers. The 52-17 victory is the worst loss at home to Mizzou for Nebraska since the 1950's and is one of the most lopsided home losses for Nebraksa in their history.
