Honestly, I like this team. I do. I like that we're figuring out how to get the most of Leo Lyons...I like that we have a bunch of energy guys on the bench...I like JT Tiller a lot...I like Stefhon Hannah...
...but this team has NO idea what to do or where to go when they need a bucket. Our last three possessions tonight went 1) travel, 2) pass between someone's legs (come on, Butterfield), 3) dribble off leg. Ugh. Granted, Butterfield should have caught that pass and made a layup, and that would have changed everything, but...ugh. Offensive identity. We really need an offensive identity. The defensive intensity is there, and I'm growing to love the 2-3 times a game when the opponent breaks down, bodies fly, and chaos reigns--chaos almost always benefits us. But when it's time to make a basket, we have no idea what to do. Somebody needs to step up, and while many tried tonight, none succeeded.
