Part One
Part Two
Part Three

So it’s October 12, and Gameday is live from Gainesville for #16 Tennessee at #7 Florida.  Other big games: #20 Oklahoma (they fell a long way after losing at K-State) vs #12 Texas in Dallas, #15 Arkansas at #21 Texas Tech, Alabama at #9 Penn State, #17 Illinois at undefeated Purdue, and upstart Indiana (receiving votes) at #19 Ohio State.  #4 Missouri opens conference play at 2-2 Colorado.

Week Seven Games of Interest

October 12
#4 Missouri > COLORADO (55-10!)

#1 Louisiana State > VANDERBILT
#3 WISCONSIN > Iowa
#6 Georgia > OLE MISS
#7 FLORIDA > Tennessee
#9 PENN STATE > Alabama
#10 SOUTH CAROLINA > Duke
Washington > CALIFORNIA (the freefall begins)
#20 Oklahoma > #12 Texas
#13 AUBURN > Florida State
#21 TEXAS TECH > #15 Arkansas
PURDUE > #17 Illinois
#18 Boston College > ARMY
#19 OHIO STATE > Indiana
#22 BYU > San Diego State
#23 GEORGIA TECH > Western Carolina
Mississippi State > #24 KENTUCKY
#25 Kansas > IOWA STATE
CLEMSON > Virginia
OKLAHOMA STATE > Nebraska (big)

In all a pretty dull week.  The top of the pile stays the same, and the Sooners reassert themselves after a baffling slip-up in Manhattan.

Week Eight Games of Interest

Welcome to ESPN College Gameday...live from...Lawrence, Kansas!  That’s right, the only even remotely interesting matchup of ranked teams this weeks comes when #11 Kansas State (5-0) takes on #19 Kansas (6-0).  Respect is slow in coming for KU, but they’ve proven themselves relatively well with road wins over Hawaii (now 3-2) and Florida State (2-3).

#4 MISSOURI > Nebraska (41-6!)
#1 LSU > Kentucky (home field accounts for 7 points, so...this game doesn’t go to OT)
Stanford > #2 USC
#3 WISCONSIN > Northwestern
#5 OREGON > California (Cal is in a tailspin, and Oregon pulls it out)
#6 FLORIDA > UL-Lafayette
#7 Georgia > VANDERBILT
#8 Penn State > SYRACUSE
EAST CAROLINA > #9 South Carolina (SC is not nearly good enough to have gotten this high)
#10 Auburn > #21 GEORGIA TECH
#19 KANSAS > #11 Kansas State
#12 TEXAS TECH > Rice
#13 OKLAHOMA > Miami-FL
#14 West Virginia > #17 BOSTON COLLEGE
#15 OHIO STATE > #16 Purdue
#22 ARKANSAS > #18 Texas (for some reason, I think the Hogs would have taken it at home)
#20 byu > NEW MEXICO
ALABAMA > #23 Tennessee
#25 ARIZONA STATE > Utah State
IOWA STATE > Colorado

Two Top 10’ers fall to unranked opponents, but there are still quite a few undefeated teams remaining.
