Another day, another Joshua Tatum article.  This is what happens when a) you're a 4-star recruit, b) you used to play for USC (or, at least wear a USC jersey), and c) you're the first commit in quite a while.  But this article is more than a summary--it's a promise from Tatum to bring a couple of friends to Columbia.

Meanwhile, the recruiting news is picking up over at PowerMizzou (I'll say it every day--now's the time to subscribe).  Three-star Houston WR Ja-Mes Logan has Mizzou in his top three (#3, to be exact), and in an article about 2008 Simone Award winner (and Mizzou commit) Blaine Dalton, there are a couple encouraging blurbs about two big-time 2010 WRs from the KC area, Keeston Terry and Marcus Lucas.

Moving on to the current Tigers...no need to wait till the bowl game--let's get the "What went wrong" stories going now!

To a happier subject...basketball (I don't get tired of saying that)!  How refreshing is it to be seeing a series of "Why Mizzou is playing so well" stories instead of "What's going wrong" ones?  This one from The Trib is one of the best so far.

Missouri is currently first in the Big 12 Conference and tied for second in Division I in assists, averaging 20.8. That’s an increase of more than four per game from last season and more than five from Coach Mike Anderson’s first season on the MU bench.

The Tigers also lead the league and are third in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio with a collective mark of 1.78-1. They’ve had no fewer than 16 assists in any game and have only finished with more turnovers than assists twice.

...

"From Day 1, he said we’re all going to be a sharing team," freshman guard Miguel Paul said last week. "It’s almost going to be every night that Leo" Lyons "or DeMarre gets 20 or 25 points because they’re so good down there, but he said everybody else, Keith" Ramsey "can have 20, Matt can have 20, whoever’s on that night. But we’re going to always share the ball."

Meanwhile, Mizzou has moved up to #5 in Steve Walentik's latest Big 12 power poll...

Finally, in our ongoing preparation for greatness at the Alamo, here's your daily dose of Northwestern on the Youtubes...it's The Birth of the Northwestern University Wildcats!
