One (boring) round of the RMN National Championship Tournament is in the books. The closest scoring margin was 24 points, and while I would strongly suggest that this is friggin' college football, and nothing ever goes that much according to plan, it's hard to disagree with any one of the results.
Round One Summary
#1 Alabama 38, #16 Troy 3
#8 Penn State 34, #9 Boise State 17
#5 USC 35, #12 TCU 10

#6 Utah 41, #11 Ball State 17
#3 Texas 45, #14 Georgia Tech 14
#7 Texas Tech 41, #10 Ohio State 17
#2 Oklahoma 66, #15 Tulsa 14
So it's on to the quarterfinals...to be have been played this past weekend on 12/13...
Quarterfinals
#8 Penn State at #1 Alabama (Joe Paterno! Bear Bryant! Epic coaching matchup!)
#5 USC at #4 Florida (By far the most intriguing quarterfinal affair)
#6 Utah at #3 Texas (Can Utah's stiff D and Texan QB pull the upset?)
#7 Texas Tech at #2 Oklahoma (...yeah, I got nothing here)
Let's get started!
