Baseball vs. Oregon State

The Tigers took on the Beavers this afternoon out in AZ, and while the hitting picked up, the pitching did not hold up, leaving the Tigers on the short end again, falling 12-8.  Ian Berger could not get anyone out in the third inning, leaving the game and starting a line of 5 Tiger pitchers, all of which would give up at least one earned run on the afternoon.

The Tigers were down 5-0 after 3, but plated 3 in the top of the 4th off of a 3-run HR from Trevor Coleman.  The Tigers would then actually take the lead in the top of the 6th with 3 more runs as Kyle Mach had a 2-run double.  With the score 6-5, Oregon State would push 5 runs across in the bottom of the 6th to regain the lead for good at 10-6.  The teams would trade single runs in the 7th and the 8th to reach the final score of 12-8.

Trevor Coleman had the HR for the TIgers with 3 RBI's.  Kyle Mach and Aaron Senne would each add 2 hits on the day as well.  The Tiger pitchers K'ed only 5 on the day, but walked 8 while the Mizzou batters did work 6 walks, but K'ed 12 times.

The team returns to the field tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. to take on  Northern Illinois.
