The action today will start up in about a half an hour, but with the increased attention (and rightly so) being paid to the #10 Mizzou Tigers, we will go live thread for the game today. I will be following the action via the GameTracker provided to us by MUTigers.com and will have all the action for you in the first game...or until my 3:30 p.m. meeting starts :-) But I invite you guys to congregate and start learning more about the names and performances from this squad. And take note as you read down through the leaders the RIDICULOUS youth on our team currently.

Mizzou is 40-5 overall with a 10-2 conference record (leading the conference). The team hits .337 overall and has a 1.24 ERA, with a .970 fielding percentage
Leading Hitters:
Sophomore Shana White is actually leading the team with a .463 average before she got hurt. Sophomore Marla Schweisberger has a .440 average and leads all regular Big XII players. She also leads the team in RBI's. Sophomore Rhea Taylor is tied for the league lead in SB's with 27 (White had 24 before she got hurt) and leads the team in runs scored with 40 and hits with 50 while batting .420. Senior Lindsey Ubrun leads the team with 9 HR's.
Leading Pitchers:
Freshman Chelsea Thomas (15 appearances, 10-2, 7 shutouts) leads the team with a 0.97 ERA (lowest in league among people with that many appearances) and a .163 batting average against. Senior Stacy Delaney (21 appearances, 12-2, 1 save, 5 shutouts) is right behind her with a 1.19 ERA and has thrown the most innings of any Tiger with 94 and the most K's with 106. Batters are hitting .200 against her. Freshman Kristen Nottlemann (19 appearances, 11-1, 2 saves) is next with a 1.34 ERA and .188 BA against and junior Jana Hainey (16 appearances, 7-0, 1 save) rounds out the staff with a 1.70 ERA and .242 BA against

Iowa State is 21-25 overall with a 3-9 conference record (2nd to last). The team hits .256 overall and has a 2.76 ERA with a .949 fielding percentage
Leading Batters:
Not much to report in terms of league leaders. Junior Alex Johnson is 9th in the league with 33 RBI's and leads the team in HR's with 5. Sophomore Carleigh Berry is among the league leaders with 16 SB's and leads the team with a .313 batting average
Leading Pitchers:
Sophomore Rachel Zabriskie is among the league leaders in K's, striking out 189 and 232.2 innnings. She is the work horse of the ISU staff, sitting at 14-20 with a 2.41 ERA. Batters are hitting .266 against her. She actually leads the league in innings pitched (where Mizzou does not have anyone with even half of her innings pitched). She has 3 shutouts on the season.
