The Missourian: Columbia couple wouldn't miss a Missouri softball game
BRUINS IN THE NCAA RANKINGS
UCLA ranks in the top 10 in five statistical categories, including second in fielding percentage at .978. The Bruins are fourth in slugging percentage (.554), sixth in home runs (77), seventh in runs per game (6.21) and eighth in batting average (.320). UCLA also ranks 16th in doubles per game at 1.53 and 41st in earned run average at 2.14. After reaching the minimum 100 innings pitched threshold during the last weekend of the regular season, junior Megan Langenfeld sits eighth in the country in earned run average at 0.99, also ranking tied for 26th with three saves. Sophomore Donna Kerr is 13th in the nation in strikeouts per seven innings at 9.6. On offense, sophomore Katie Schroeder is 19th in runs per game (1.02), 20th in on base percentage (.525), 40th in batting average (.409), tied for 47th in walks per game (0.60) and 49th in slugging (.707). Junior Kaila Shull is 12th in RBI per game (1.08) and tied for fourth with five sacrifice flies, senior Amanda Kamekona is 10th in doubles per game (0.36) and sophomore GiOnna DiSalvatore is 26th in runs per game (0.94). All statistics were as of games completed on May 17.
