MUtigers.com: OFFICIAL RELEASE
While the Missouri Tigers will face a tough road test this week at Texas Tech, Mizzou has shown an ability to find success on the road in recent years.
As Head Coach Gary Pinkel's program has taken roots over the last several years, his team has learned how to win on the road. Mizzou has earned three road wins each year in the previous three seasons, and after splitting so far on the road at Texas A&M and at Nebraska, Pinkel's teams have an overall record of 10-4 in road games since 2007.
In fact, all four losses during that string came to the hands of ranked teams (No. 6 Oklahoma in 2007, No. 4 Texas in 2008, No. 16 Oklahoma State in 2009 and No. 12 Nebraska in 2010).

Post-Dispatch: Mizzou will re-evaluate offense in red zone
The Nebraska game wasn't the first time Mizzou has struggled in close. The weekend before, Mizzou had to settle for field goals after having first downs at the OU 10, 17 and 1. (Mizzou scored touchdowns on three other trips into the red zone.) The week before that, against Texas A&M, Mizzou had second and goal at the 1 at the end of the first half but got only a field goal out of it.
"Definitely things are more condensed," Gabbert said. "But we've got to find ways to get into the end zone. That's inexcusable not to be able to score a touchdown when we're down there."
Mizzou is tied for 17th nationally in red-zone effectiveness, but the NCAA determines that by the percentage of times a team gets any points, either field goal or touchdown, from inside the 20. Mizzou has scored on 32 of 36 trips inside the red zone, but on 12 of those, they've had to settle for a field goal. Only San Diego State, Texas, Baylor and Boston College have kicked more field goals on red-zone possessions than Mizzou.
"We've been doing the spread for a long time and overall we've been pretty good at it," Pinkel said. "If you're not getting the ball in the end zone, you're not getting it in. You've got to re-evaluate and look at what you're doing. We've got a third of the season left; we've got to find out what we can do to get it in."
