The Missourian: Missouri heads to hostile territory
The Tigers will tip-off against the Ducks at 10 p.m. at historic McArthur Court. Built in 1927, the building is one of the oldest on-campus college arenas still in use. Soon, the Ducks will move into a much newer nest, the highly anticipated, $200 million Matthew Knight Arena. The state-of-the-art building has been increasingly gaining attention since its plans surfaced, and even more since pictures of a court surrounded by shadows of decorative trees were released. Oregon will finally get to play its first game there in January.
But Thursday, Missouri will be setting foot in the "Mac," or the "Pit" if you prefer. Both are affectionate nicknames for McArthur Court. Seats in the building extend almost straight up, giving the effect that the Oregon student section, known as the "Pit Crew," and all the other Duck supporters at the 9,087-seat arena are breathing down on the court.

Post-Dispatch: No. 9 Tigers learn in loss to Hoyas
In their disappointment after Tuesday's game against the Hoyas, the players still insisted they were eager to play another game again and were happy it was coming so soon.
"You'd always rather play games than practice," said junior Marcus Denmon, who scored a career-high 27 points against the Hoyas. "It would be a lot worse if we had to go home and practice after a loss like this."
One has to wonder if they'll feel the same way after flying across two time zones to face an Oregon team that looks depleted in Coach Dana Altman's first season. The Ducks saw six players depart in the offseason, and Altman had to scramble just to fill out his roster. He only has 10 scholarship players, only three of whom are taller than 6-foot-6. So far, they have struggled to beat North Dakota State and UC Santa Barbara. They lost to San Jose State and on Saturday got blown away by No. 1 Duke. They could be the perfect opponent for Missouri to take out its frustration on, unless the Tigers are still feeling the effects of Tuesday night's loss.
"What you don't want, you don't want a hangover going to Oregon," Anderson said. "That's the next big ballgame on our schedule."
