What stands out to me when considering Missouri in 2010 is the fact that, once again, Gary Pinkel has led a team beyond its early expectations, beyond the perceived eight-win goal to another fine performance. The big picture statement, if it even needs to be said: Pinkel has built Missouri to the point where one player doesn’t make or break the team’s success, where a strong enough system is in place to expect nothing less than consistent placement in the Top 25 from here on forward, or for as long as Pinkel remains in charge. When all is said and done, Missouri has a strong chance at finishing within the top 10 for the second time under his watch.
