PowerMizzou: Visit clears things up for [star RB recruit Rodney] Coe
"The first question he asked me was what I heard about Mizzou," Coe said.
Coe said his response brought a sly smile to Ford's face.
"I was honest and said I heard they didn't run the ball," Coe continued. "That I wouldn't be a running back. That it wouldn't be a good place for me to go."
Ford and the rest of Missouri's coaches, including offensive coordinator David Yost and running backs coach Brian Jones took over from there. The coaches enumerated all the ways they planned to utilize Coe in their offensive system. They told Coe their offense is tuned to their strongest players. If Coe chose Missouri, they said, they would run the plays that suited his blend of size, power and speed best.
Coe's a big-time recruit from Illinois, and it's pretty clear that every other coach on his list has told him "Don't worry about Mizzou--they don't run the ball." Good to see he gave Mizzou coaches an opportunity to clear that up at least a bit (they did, after all, have three straight years with a 1,000-yard rusher not very long ago). And for those interested, here is his totally badass highlight film on YouTube. He absolutely does not look like he's a lumbering 6'3, 230 out there.

PowerMizzou: Keith DeWitt: Tigers' 2011 hoops class taking shape
Keith DeWitt was a 2009 signee that eventually did not qualify, and it turns out that he's still interested in coming back to Mizzou. He didn't become eligible to play at Chipola until midway through the season, but he still managed a handful of double-doubles and will likely be a go-to guy this year down there. It looks like he'll fill the only scholarship we know about for 2011, though between Kadeem Green potentially not qualifying and, of course, any transfer news that pops up next year, there might be more.

Finally, this is clearly not Mizzou-related, but for the first time in a while, I got something worthwhile from Bill Simmons' Twitter posting...this is from an Eastern European pro basketball league...Croatian home team versus Serbian road team...crazy...
