On his uncle Mike Anderson's decision to remain at Missouri after discussing the head coaching job at Oregon ...

I’m very happy because I think this is a good town for him. I think they support him. I think he just looked at Oregon, looked at the opportunity money-wise to help financially set his family. Hopefully, Missouri can open their eyes and really go to him with the deal he needs to keep him here forever because you don’t want a guy to make the Final Four and then all of the sudden he’s gone. You want him to treat this as Nolan Richardson treated Arkansas, as his home. Hopefully, my uncle can make this his home and start a serious, serious—they can be one of the top teams, elite teams in the nation.

On keeping tabs on his former MU teammates while playing in the NBA ...

I followed them a lot. They call me like I was their big brother, and he asked me about my uncle and why he be tripping. I just told them, he did the same thing with me. You’ve just got to stay with it. Everything he’s doing is for a good cause, and I think they did a good job. They stuck with it. I know at the beginning of the year, they were calling me, and they stuck with it, and they went to the Tournament. Hopefully, they can just let him lead the way and just follow him. You’ve got guys like Kimmie that are gym rats so they’re just asking me about the things they need to work on. I just told them you need to enjoy college and just play freely because when you start thinking about the NBA and thinking about this and thinking about what I need to work on, that’s when you go away from what you do.
