[T]heir games arguably evolved in a complementary, not contradictory, fashion.

Since the older brother could score, the younger grew up feeding him:

In casual games, summer league play and two years together at Dallas Episcopal. Everywhere, apparently, but at the table.

"I had the ball in my hands since Day One," Phil said, smiling. "But he had all the shots. He was taking all the shots. Whenever we needed a shot, it was going to him, yeah, pretty much."

Not that he was forced to.

"But he knows I'm going to finish a lot of his passes," Matt Pressey said, 'so he's willing to throw it to me."

Of course, Phil Pressey is willing to throw it to about anyone. Or, on occasion, anywhere. That's left Anderson more exasperated than exhilarated at times.

But as the season progresses, Pressey has learned more about the capacities and movements of those around him — as seen in several alley-oops — and "when to go and when not to," he said.

That progress is illustrated by his 16-8 assist to turnover ratio in Big 12 play, which has justified Anderson's pre-season faith in him.

"He has a great gift for making other people look good," he said.
