Yep. Lose three games, even away from home against strong competition, and you get headlines like the one below from the KC Star. Write this one down as Reason No. 659 why losing isn't a lot of fun.

The Trib (Dave Matter): Yost talks Xs and Os
On keeping the tailbacks involved …
"Having those three guys, you want to use them to their abilities. The more plays we run, the better for everything because we want to spread the ball around. We want to get the ball in their hands as much as possible, especially Henry and the way Kendial" Lawrence "came back in that game was good. We were able to get Michael" Egnew "more involved last week. We got T.J." Moe "involved but not as much as we liked to. He was targeted on a few more we didn’t hit. Because of the mode we were in, Wes Kemp suffered a bit because where he ends up in our empty package. We stay in the same formation and he ends up being field No. 2 instead of boundary 1, boundary 2. That’s where a lot of his catches have come this year. It’s that fine line of juggling. And you want to complete more passes. The more plays we can run, the more we execute, the more touches we get all the guys. We want our running backs to touch the ball hopefully 50 percent of the time on the day." - The Missourian: Penalties overshadow solid performance by Missouri's defensive line

MIZZOUEXPANSIONAPALOOZA™ 2011
On Friday, Monday and Tuesday, we heard "sources" saying that Mizzou was going to make an announcement within the next day or so. So ... maybe today becomes that "day or so"? All we know for sure is, the headlines emerging from Chuck Neinas' "we think they'll be in the Big 12 next year regardless" quote were a bit frustrating. If Mizzou decides this week to leave for the SEC, then while the financial penalty would be stronger if they elected to be gone for 2012-13, they would still have the option. All the "Mizzou will be in the Big 12 in 2012" headlines were Neinas' opinion presented as fact. And they could end up being true, but that doesn't mean they should have been presented as they were presented.
