Before I begin, allow me to clarify that this is in no way intended to represent the best or the worst memories from the 2010-11 season. It is neither comprehensive nor well-researched. Instead, it is literally the fastest 40 memories my head could conjure up of this past season. How many of these make the fastest 40 memories that come to your mind? What did I miss in my haste?

  1. The ball leaving Chris Wright's hands in Kansas City
  2. Marcus Denmon's steal and score against Vanderbilt
  3. Vanderbilt missing its last second opportunities
  4. Two minutes of near-perfect basketball against Texas Tech in Kansas City, making me wonder where it had been all year
  5. The end of the Kansas game, which I remember since I was in attendance and therefore NOT at the mercy of sun spots
  6. Being confused as hell by Mizzou trailing Colorado when I checked my phone until I saw Alec Burks' point total
  7. Flip heat checking himself in College Station in time to drill what felt like 16 three-pointers from well beyond NBA range
  8. Flip making an obscene number of ridiculous passes that his forwards were not expecting
  9. Tristan Thompson's elbow unpropitiously landing on Laurence Bowers' skull
  10. Mike Dixon's "Eff You" three pointers, especially when they resulted in this face
  11. Baylor players complimenting Mizzou's forwards when they realized there was nothing they could do
  12. Phil Pressey losing the ball on the way up for what would have been one of the most ridiculous dunks in Mizzou history against Baylor
  13. The first time I laid eyes on Andre Almeida
  14. Mizzou railing Oregon in the first half in Eugene
  15. Oregon railing Mizzou in the second half in Eugene
  16. Paying for airplane Wi-Fi to watch Mizzou/Western Illinois and then suffering buyer's remorse
  17. Denmon's outlet pass late against Illinois
  18. Ricardo "Ratcliffe"
  19. Doug Gottlieb
  20. Mizzou largely containing Kansas' stars in two games but getting destroyed by Robinson, Little and Releford
  21. Mizzou arriving in Stillwater 34 seconds before tipoff
  22. Wondering if Pat Knight's suit in that final game was made by Under Armour
  23. B-Roll of Mike Anderson drilling threes on a gameday afternoon
  24. Steve Moore having one hell of a game (albeit an unquantifiable one) against Kansas at home
  25. Missouri's insane offensive first half in Lawrence
  26. Everything crashing back to reality in the second half in Lawrence
  27. Managing to remember absolutely nothing notable from a Mizzou/Iowa State game in Columbia I personally attended
  28. All of the suit and NIT jokes directed at Jacob Pullen from the Mizzou Arena crowd
  29. Wanting Kim English to break out of his slump as badly as he did
  30. Feeling relieved for the second straight year about winning in Ames
  31. The MU/KSU game in Manhattan having about as much rhythm as me on a dance floor
  32. The first four minutes of Mizzou/Cincinnati
  33. The other 36 minutes of Mizzou/Cincinnati
  34. The continued joy of watching nearly every minute of basketball played by Laurence Bowers
  35. Ricky Kreklow hitting the 3 against Cincy
  36. Flip diving on the floor for the steal and dish at Mizzou Arena
  37. Struggling to find 40 memories when everything can be summed up better by four or five emotions
  38. "Quitting" becoming part of the lexicon, whether used by beat writers or junior guards
  39. Feeling discomfort at Michael Dixon's tears but comfort in remembering he's somehow only a sophomore
  40. Justin Safford's senior day and a reminder that, better or worse, nearly everyone is coming back
