2013 Missouri Football Recruiting: Florida DE Nate Crawford commits

The 260-pounder is Mizzou's 16th known commitment in the class of 2013.

The Alabama game did not go according to plan (actually, I guess it kind of did), but Mizzou's recruiting efforts got a boost over the weekend. The Tigers scored a commitment from Georgia quarterback Eddie Printz, Jr., on Friday, and on Saturday they landed a big defensive end from Pensacola, Florida. Over the summer, it appeared that Nate Crawford, a 6'4, 260-pounder from Pensacola's West Florida Tech, was trying to decide between Mississippi State, Kentucky and Louisville; but he decided to give Mizzou a look, and it apparently paid off for the Tigers. Crawford committed yesterday.

With Printz and Crawford now added to the commitment list, Mizzou unofficially stands at 16 commitments. That does not include Florida linebacker Darren Hambrick -- PowerMizzou's Pete Scantlebury has expressed reservations regarding whether Hambrick actually has an offer or not. (Recruiting is confusing sometimes.) Crawford joins a pair of big Missouri defensive tackles (Maplewood's Antar Thompson and Columbia's A.J. Logan) on the class' defensive line.
