Full disclosure: I haven't watched a second of this game yet. I was busy manning the ham. But even without my eyeballs affixed, Missouri beat Stanford, 78-70, in the opening round of the Battle 4 Atlantis on Thursday. The game saw 47 fouls and 51 free throws, which is gross (and probably something we should get used to with the size and physicality on this team), but Mizzou made 22 of its 25 free throws, and four Tigers scored in double figures (Laurence Bowers led the way with 19). Ken Pomeroy projections said this game would be close, and it was. But Mizzou advanced. The Tigers will play tonight's Louisville-Northern Iowa winner Friday evening at 8:30 p.m. CT. Huzzah!
