Two games, four picks and now we sit at 53.7%, up a hair from where we were entering Saturday. As a group, we got the one we really needed with ULaLa covering “at home” in the Dome against ECU (respect to ULaLa for bringing 30K+ to the game…I don’t care how close they are to New Orleans). The Under was a bit of an ugly majority pick in that one, but it is what it is. In the afternoon-cap, UW kept it close with Boise, which hurt, but another majority pick with the Over gave us a decent day on the whole.
Speaking of decent days, Pemal1 has had a few of those in a row coming out of the gate. Since missing the O/U on the BYU/San Diego State game, the picks have been perfect. That lands them with an impressive 11-1 record and two games out in front of a sizeable pack at 9-3. As an early Christmas present, we will keep the bottom of the barrel nameless until after the holiday. Thank me later with beer.
The schedule slows one more time before the deluge of next week. SMU and Fresno will entertain us on Christmas Eve, and then another break until the 26th. All of this leading up to the 21 games in 6 days (and that includes a bowl-free Sunday a week from now) which will really shape the board for good. Back to Christmas Eve, we are looking for Fresno to cover the big line of 11.5, and the Over is the popular pick as well.
Speaking of the board, it is on display in all of its glory here. All-time, we are within 250 games of being over .500. To give you an idea of how that might come to pass, out of 144 picks, only 36 picked ECU. That was +108 right there. A few more of those and mediocrity may finally be ours!
Happy Basking in Braggin’ Rights Everyone!
