If nothing else, Missouri's 81-65 win over SE Missouri State proved that not every 16-point win is created equal. Three days ago, Mizzou pulled ahead of Appalachian State by as many as 24 points before a late ASU run gave Mizzou a 72-56 win. Tonight against SEMO, Mizzou trailed by 11 with 18:30 remaining thanks to some torrid SEMO shooting, but a 25-8 Mizzou run gave the Tigers a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Laurence Bowers led Mizzou with 26 points on 10-for-18 shooting. He's becoming more of a scorer than any of us really imagined, and thank goodness: the rest of the team shot just 20-for-49 (41 percent).
