I said this morning that Iowa State is an extremely high-variability team, what with both Royce White and 3-point shooting coming and going throughout the course of a game or season. That's exactly what we saw tonight as Iowa State couldn't buy a bucket from long range, then couldn't miss, then went cold again. Meanwhile, White played like the best player in the country for much of the first half, then faded in the second. All throughout, Missouri, led by their seniors and a huge night from junior Mike Dixon, kept hanging around. With the game tied at 64-64 with under four minutes remaining, the Tigers unleashed a 7-0 run, then made their free throws down the stretch to pull out a tough 78-72 win, a tough victory for a tough team.
More in the morning. For now ... consider this a HAPPY SENIOR DAY CELEBRATION THREAD. WHAT SAY YOU DR. SOYOYE???
