So we're headed to Oklahoma City this evening for a couple days of seeing family, taking Rally Baby to the Zoo (and perhaps the Oklahoma Foodie Arts Festival). Hopefully I can get some actual content cranked out between now and departure time, but Live Thread Central is still a reason for you to visit 50 times a day, right? RIGHT?

So it does appear that this playoff thing is going to happen. It will almost certainly be a Plus One format, and it will likely be as confusing/silly as possible (this is college football, after all), but it will stretch the number of teams eligible for the national title, and that is a good thing.

Congrats to Tim Fuller for earning a promotion to Associate Head Coach. It's a shame Fuller isn't a little younger, actually; if the best-case scenario unfolds, and Frank Haith undergoes a long, successful tenure as Mizzou head coach, Fuller would certainly make for a lovely head-coach-in-waiting type. But if Haith is indeed really successful here, Fuller will get snatched up long before Haith is ready to retire. Hazards of success, eh?

So Mizzou Baseball has to get super hot to give themselves a chance at an NCAA Regional bid. They followed up on last weekend's sweep of K-State with a nice, midweek win at SMS Missouri State last night. Now let's see if they can fare better against Texas Tech than the softball team did...
