Practice Reports!
PowerMizzou: Thursday Practice Report*During inside run drills, Greg White had a nice burst off the right side. White showed quick feet in the backfield and some nice moves for a back his size.
*On the very next snap, Marcus Murphy had a solid gain through the same hole.
*The way was paved on both of those plays by Justin Britt and Jack Meiners. Britt started at left tackle, but has moved to right with Fisher's return, while Taylor Chappell fills in on the left side. Mitch Morse and Ruth round out an offensive line that could be better than some are projecting once [Elvis] Fisher is back to full health.
KBIA Sports Extra: Physical practice leaves tight end injuredJunior tight end Eric Waters sprained his left knee Thursday while making a block for T.J. Moe during 11-on-11 drills. Moe had caught a pass in the flat from Corbin Berkstresser and created room to run with a lateral move. Pinkel said Waters, who took the top spot on the depth chart with the graduation of All-American Michael Egnew, had been having a really good spring and that he had improved a lot.

I'm Sure Costas' Show Attempted Actual Journalism And Contacted Joe Scogan; He Must Have Just Been Unavailable ... Yep
The Trib: Missouri defends academic policies in light of ex-player's commentsJoe Scogin, Missouri’s associate athletic director for academic services, watched the episode and in an interview with the Tribune on Thursday refuted the former player’s comments. Scogin oversees MU’s Total Person Program, which employs 15 full-time and graduate assistant academic and development advisors who work exclusively with athletes.
Scogin said he was "very disappointed" in the way Coffey characterized an athletic department that’s been nationally recognized for its academic reputation.
School employees are prohibited from disclosing private information regarding a student-athlete’s academic record, but Scogin said many of Coffey’s claims were inaccurate.
"I’d encourage folks to do some fact-checking and ask Sean to provide copies of transcripts or anything that can substantiate any of the claims he has," Scogin said.

There are never actually times when I want to be an athletic director, but this would be a particularly poor week to be Arkansas AD Jeff Long. What exactly do you do with Bobby Petrino? He's won bigger than you probably even expected him to, but he has now embarrassed the hell out of himself (and, therefore, the university), and he probably lied to you about the "There was no passenger on my bike with me" thing. Is lying about an affair and having it blow up in his face cause for dismissal? My initial reaction is no ... but I'm not entirely sure about that.

Really frustrating evening on the diamond(s). Baseball had the bases loaded with one out in the ninth but couldn't plate a run, and Softball gave Chelsea Thomas a 3-0 lead heading into the fifth, then unraveled. Not something we're used to seeing from #TeamStubble. Thomas: 5.0 innings, 5 earned runs.
