The Future
PowerMizzou: Tiger Mailbagmexicojoe: Five years from now, what do you envision as the most noticeable changes in the MU athletic facilities?
GD: Ten to fifteen thousand more seats at a revamped Memorial Stadium.
I've got to disagree with Gabe on this one. Ten years? Sure. But the first round of expansion is probably not going to be done for a couple of years, and I just don't see them getting to further expansion by 2017. (Though I could obviously be quite wrong about that.) And honestly, that's perfectly fine. Mizzou still has a ways to go in working to prove it needs 10K-15K extra seats. Let's pack the place for a few years before we worry about building a bigger house. Stadium expansion has been an obsession of Missouri fans for years, and that's fine; we just still have some work to do in earning it.
