Good lord, you guys have been commenting like crazy lately ... mid-season football form already...

** PROGRAMMING NOTE **
The Football Outsiders Almanac 2012 is now for sale over at F.O
.
I won't bug you guys too much about this, but we're really excited about it. Matt Hinton, a.k.a. the former Sunday Morning QB and Dr. Saturday and current correspondent for CBS Sports, joins Brian Fremeau and me in previewing each conference. Plus, you get the typical goodies -- projections, win expectancy tables. You should pick it up even though projections aren't particularly kind to Mizzou.

Keion Bell, 6-3, 200, G, Sr., transferred from Pepperdine

Stats: Averaged 16.4 points in three seasons at Pepperdine -- and 18.9 as a junior.

"He's very athletic, very wiry. He's got great body control and can shift in the air. He competes and reminds me of (Marcus) Denmon in a sense of how tough he is. If we need him to play some point guard, he can. He played the point on the scout team last year, but he's more comfortable at the two. He'll be the most athletic guy on our team."

It's always nice when the equivalent of a former five-star recruit falls into your lap like it just did for Team Kreklow and the volleyball team, huh?

MUtigers.com: Mizzou Volleyball Adds Taylor Simpson to 2012 Roster

The Mizzou volleyball program landed a heralded recruit this week as Taylor Simpson, a 6-3 outside hitter from Colorado Springs, has committed to play with the Tigers during the 2012 season. Simpson was the No. 9 recruit nationally in 2010 according to PrepVolleyball.com, marking the top prospect ever to commit to play at Mizzou. She is eligible to play immediately, beginning in the fall of 2012.

Simpson most recently played volleyball at the University of Nebraska during the 2011 season as she played in 34 sets in 12 matches, tallying 13 kills and nine blocks. Simpson transferred from Nebraska to Florida State before committing to Mizzou last week. [...]

Coming out of Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Simpson earned plenty of accolades nationally. After being ranked No. 9 by PrepVolleyball.com, Simpson was selected as an Under Armour All-American in 2010 and was an ESPN RISE Volleyball All-America honorable mention selection.
